1. Place your right foot directly in line with the ball.
2. Position the Clubhead behind the ball. Aim the Clubface to the landing area.
3. Grip the club with your left hand, then grip the club with your right hand.
4. Move your left foot one inch to the left and right foot about six inches right
5. Turn your hips about forty-five degrees to the left of your target line.
6. Place all your weight on left side.
7. Position your hands directly in line with your left knee. Left arm and club forms one straight line
The Backstroke is Initiate by turning the left shoulders, which in turn will take the Arms, Hands and Club back in a one piece motion.
The Left Arm and Clubshaft are in a straight line at Address Position and MUST remain in that condition throughout the entire stroke.
There is Zero weight shift and Zero body movement throughout the backstroke excepting for the left shoulder takeaway.
The first movement that initiates the Downstroke is the turning of the left hip. This in turns pulls the left arm and club through impact to the Follow-Through
Head remains very steady and down until the Follow-Through has been completed
Hold the Follow-Through Position.
Check the following points;
1. Both arms are fully extended
2. The left arm and Clubshaft are in a straight line
3. The Left Wrist is both in a Flat and Uncocked condition
4. The right arm and Clubshaft are NOT in a straight line as depicted by the yellow line in the above image
5. The Right Wrist is in a Bent condition
6. Hold that Follow-Through position
